Home Tutoring
Home Art Tutoring - I travel to you!
Hi there,
I hear you are looking for an art tutor who can work with you and/or your child in the comfort of your own home.
Well, you've come to the right place!
I can be your creative guide, working with you to explore the disciplines of drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media.
I am offering one-on-one tutoring, and my undivided attention, for people who wish to explore the world of art and creativity from the comfort of their own home.
Who I work with...
Tweens, teens, and adults who live within a 15 minute drive of Howick Village.
I can help you...
What art materials will you need?
I will bring a materials kit with me on the first lesson to get started and after speaking with you or your child and discovering what direction/techniques you would like to explore, I will advise as to what materials are needed in the coming weeks.
An art materials list will be given to you once I know. Or I can order materials for you.

Tweens, teens, and adults who live within a 15 minute drive of Howick Village.
I can help you...
- explore art for the first time
- rediscover your creativity or long-lost passion for art
- with additional art practice
- with extra tuition and guidance on your College Art Boards
- with extra assistance to gather work for University Art/Architecture Portfolios
- if you are house-bound because of illness or a physical disability
- if you are feeling a little lonely and need something new to try...while having a chat

Fees
Individual lessons - $48/hour ($72 for a 1.5 hour lesson)
Pair lessons - $32/hour per student ($48 per student for a 1.5 hour lesson)
A one-hour lesson is sufficient for young students
An hour-and-a-half lesson is better for teens and adults
Lesson Frequency:
Lessons can be booked weekly, fortnightly, or once a month. (However, if working with clay, this does require weekly attention.)
Housekeeping:
Please ensure that you prepare an area of your house/garage which will allow for freedom of creativity - some art projects can get a little messy!
It is up to you to provide furniture/floor coverings, aprons, gloves, etc, if this is a concern.
I take no responsibility for any mishaps in this regard.
Health and Safety:
If you or your child has an illness or physical disability:
I will supply a form for you to fill out asking you to list in general terms a description of any illness/disability you or your child may have to enable me to assess and work with the student adequately.
As I am an artist and not a trained health care worker, I must apply an "all care and no responsibility" policy.
Depending on the severity of the disability, I may require a care worker be present during the lesson.
I look forward to meeting you,
Megan
